Black Jack Disc Golf Course

Named after General John A. Logan—nicknamed “Black Jack” for his striking black hair and eyes—this scenic disc golf course blends local heritage with outdoor fun. Located on the campus of John A. Logan College in Carterville, the Black Jack Disc Golf Course is a 9-hole layout designed for beginner to intermediate players.

The course’s flat, lightly wooded terrain makes it approachable for all ages and skill levels. Holes 1 through 4 and 9 wrap around a tranquil pond, while holes 5 to 8 lie just across Logan College Road, offering a change of scenery and a slight challenge. Both short and long tees have a par of 28, offering a relaxed yet engaging experience for casual rounds or friendly competition.

Restroom facilities are conveniently located inside Building E near the adjacent parking lot. To reach the course, take I-57 Exit 54-A to Route 13 West toward Carterville for 7 miles. Turn right on West Commercial Drive, then left onto Plaza Drive to reach the southeast entrance of the campus. Parking is available near the bridge close to the first tee.
