Come visit and explore history with us as you experience all that the First Division Museum has to offer. With exhibits and artifacts ranging from early war to present day, there’s plenty to learn.
The First Division Museum at Cantigny Park in Wheaton has reopened following a comprehensive 10-month renovation. The makeover includes the addition of “Duty First,” an all-new gallery focusing on the modern (post-Vietnam) history of the Army’s 1st Infantry Division. The museum’s other major gallery is “First in War.” This space, thoroughly updated with new media and more artifacts, allows visitors to step into history—into a WWI trench, onto Omaha Beach and through the jungles of Vietnam. Outside, 11 U.S. Army tanks from different eras are displayed and visitors are permitted to climb on them!
The museum is open daily (except on Mondays) and admission is free. Parking at Cantigny is $5 per car.
