Walking Through Wonderland: A Visit Effingham Experience

Bundle up and stroll through Effingham’s dazzling holiday light displays! This free, family-friendly evening features twinkling lights, Christmas music, Santa, complimentary cocoa, food vendors, and plenty of festive cheer throughout the night.
For one magical night only, Effingham's Wonderland in Lights will become a pedestrian-only wonderland, giving you the chance to stroll through the park and experience our larger-than-life light displays up close!
This special evening is free and open to the public, with donations welcome. Take your time wandering through the twinkling displays, sing along to your favorite Christmas classics, and keep an eye out for a very special visitor—Santa Claus will be waiting at the end of the walk to spread a little extra holiday cheer!
Warm up by the fireside with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, then grab a bite from one of the food trucks and vendors on site. And be sure to stop by the Visit Effingham tent to pick up a free holiday souvenir while supplies last!
Parking at Community Park will be limited, so we encourage guests to take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service. Shuttles will run continuously from 5–8 p.m., picking up and dropping off at the Courthouse Museum parking lot.
And the holiday magic doesn’t stop there! Make your way downtown to experience Light Up the Lawn and see even more larger-than-life, 3-D holiday light displays illuminating the heart of Effingham.
